Nancy Villanueva García
Nancy is CEO of Interbrand for Iberia & Middle East. Her main responsibility is to ensure the leadership of the consulting firm in both regions by offering its clients branding solutions that ensure greater brand value and business growth. Nancy’s goal is for its customers to rely on Interbrand as their long-term partner by ensuring the success of their brands through strategic and creative solutions that are perfectly aligned with their business strategy. Nancy firmly believes that when this multidisciplinary and integrated process of analysis and creativity is achieved, authentic brands are born with the power to change the world. As Global Director Expansion Markets, Villanueva is also responsible accelerating growth plans in those regions with high long-term potential, such as Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and India. Nancy created, established and consolidated the discipline of project management (Client Services area) for Interbrand Madrid from scratch. Having begun her career at Interbrand more than a decade ago as a Senior Consultant, Nancy is faithful to the idea that creating a strong brand strategy to build an integrated visual and verbal identity allows for innovative and successful implementation that results in greater brand value. Nancy's career has always been focused on Marketing, having worked in the U.S. for more than 10 years in a variety of positions for leading multinational companies such as Unilever and GlaxoSmithKline. Since joining Interbrand in 2005, Nancy has led branding projects for clients such as Telefónica/Movistar, Mahou San Miguel, Bankia, DIA, Banco Popular Group, Elsevier, Euskaltel, Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, General Sports Authority, etc. Nancy is guest lecturer at IE Business School’s International MBA Program, which invited her to be a keynote speaker for the International MBA class of 2015, and ELISAVA Barcelona School of Design and Engineering. She was a member of jury at Cannes Design Lions in 2014, at El Ojo de Iberoamérica International Festival in 2015 and in the advertising Korean festival AD Stars 2015. Nancy studied Business Administration and Marketing at Boston College and holds a Corporate MBA from New York University.
